The National Library of Medicine (NLM), on the campus of the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, has been a center of information innovation since its founding in 1836. The world’s largest biomedical library, NLM maintains and makes available a vast print collection and produces electronic information resources on a wide range of topics that are searched billions of times each year by millions of people around the globe. It also supports and conducts research, development, and training in biomedical informatics and health information technology. In addition, the Library coordinates an 8,000+ member Network of the National Library of Medicine that promotes and provides access to health information in communities across the United States.
This is a $97,723,690.00 Delivery Order contract awarded to Black Canyon Consulting LLC, a woman-owned small business (WOSB) in Fairfax, Virginia. The contract is for software engineering support for biomedical and bibliographic information resources for the National Library of Medicine (NLM), a component of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), a civilian agency.
The contract has an ultimate completion date of September 27, 2028 and was awarded on a Time and Materials pricing basis under the Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) contract vehicle. Black Canyon Consulting is providing a range of services to support NLM's intramural research programs, including program management, logistics support, website development, organizational coaching, and subject matter expertise. This award builds upon the company's existing $144.76 million Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) for Project, Program, and Portfolio Support Services across NIH, as well as its position on the GSA MAS contract, which includes a $78.87 million delivery order from NLM for technical support services.
