The Information Analysis Center Multiple-Award Contract (IAC-MAC) is a comprehensive Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle established by the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) to provide a wide range of research, development, test, and evaluation (RDT&E) services across multiple technical domains. The contract supports complex scientific and technical requirements spanning areas such as software analysis, information assurance, knowledge management, modeling and simulation, survivability, reliability, maintainability, and other critical technological domains. With a total shared ceiling of $28 billion and an ordering period extending to April 8, 2028, the contract enables rapid response to evolving government requirements by integrating expertise from diverse professional disciplines.
Task orders under this contract typically range from $20 million to $800 million, with performance periods extending up to ten years, and are predominantly awarded to large defense contractors including HII Mission Technologies Corp, KBR Wyle Services, Booz Allen Hamilton, CACI Inc. - Federal, and Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). The majority of task orders are cost-plus-fixed-fee delivery orders supporting various Department of Defense agencies, with frequent funding coming from organizations like Naval Air Systems Command, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Army Research and Development Command, and the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Notably, while the original solicitation included a partial small business set-aside, the awarded task orders are consistently unrestricted, with no specific set-aside designations. Performance locations are widespread, typically involving research facilities, military bases, and corporate locations across the United States, with a strong emphasis on technical research, engineering analysis, and advanced technology development supporting national security objectives.
